Committee (CTM)
About the Committee
The Committee for Tertiary Ministry (CTM) is mainly made up of young people from within the LSF Victoria community. The committee also includes the Coordinator for Tertiary Ministry, the Pastor for Tertiary and Youth Ministry, and general representatives of the Lutheran Church of Australia's Victorian/Tasmanian District (LCAVD).
The Committee is overseen by the Council for Ministry Support, which in turn is overseen by the District Church Council (which represents the LCAVD).
The Committee exits to:
- equip, direct and resource tertiary ministry within the LCAVD
- provide vision, leadership and oversight to the District’s ministry to students and young workers in the tertiary and post-tertiary environment
- enable Victorian tertiary students and young workers to connect, care and grow.

The Committee's broad aims for 2009:
- Community—continue to develop communities of support for tertiary students (a goal for 2008 also).
- Discipleship—foster a culture of discipleship within the LSF Victoria community.
- Mission—participate in God’s mission beyond the LSF Victoria community.
The Committee's specific goals for 2009 are to:
- update the LSF Victoria website (you’re on it now!) so it is useful and inviting
- reach out in mission to uni students through Red Frogs ministry at events such as Schoolies week, coffee nights, and those held at uni colleges
- serve uni students through a free student meal program at St John’s Southgate
- work hard to build a relationship with Luther College and help Year 12 students there in the transition to tertiary life
- continue missional support to a community outside of LSF Victoria, such as overseas or in an Australian Indigenous community.
- focus on prayer, including starting a prayer group.
